The Naked Brothers Band: The Video Game is a 2008 rhythm video game based on the Nickelodeon show of the same name. developed by Barking Lizards Technologies and published by THQ (under the Play THQ brand) for the Microsoft Windows, Playstation 2 and Nintendo Wii.The Nintendo DS version was developed by 1st Playable Productions (the same developer behind Cooking Mama: Cookstar). The game is based on and includes songs by The Naked Brothers Band. The game was also going to be on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PSP, but all those versions were cancelled.
The band is on their bus and Cooper comes in with news and says that the band will be on a world tour. The band travels to Miami, New York City, and many more venues and plays multiple songs like "Eventually" and "Body I Occupy". The player gets to play as the vocals, drums, cello, guitar, bass guitar, and keyboard as they embark on a tour as they are in the band.
Why It Sucks
Some of the character models are a bit creepy, and look like they are from Plotagon.
Terrible game presentation.
Boring gameplay. For the PlayStation 2 version, all you do is use the analog sticks and the shoulder buttons. The Wii version makes you sometimes use motion controls, which is annoying.
Sometimes the controls won't respond and it will screw you over.
Spelling errors in the lyrics in most of the song.
Some songs have lyrics and some don't (e.g. the song "Don't Turn Around" doesn't have any lyrics, which can be hard to sing with microphone).
Some songs are tedious to play. (e.g. the Banana Smoothie song).
The microphone isn't a good option to play with, as it forces you to yell to be heard.
The plot is bland: all you do is jump to another place and just sing.
It can also get very repetitive, and has no replay value.
Some of the songs are pretty good to listen.
Good graphics for PlayStation 2.
The Nintendo DS port was much better & enjoyable than "bigger" versions.
