Konami's Pachinko Entertainment
After Konami's shift to mobile gaming, the company had decided to basically turn all their main franchises, such as Silent Hill, Castlevania, Suikoden and even Metal Gear Solid into pachinko slot machines.
At the same time, it’s hard to fault Konami for utilizing its assets. The pachinko machines are apparently bringing in more money than Konami was making in the console gaming market.
With Hideo Kojima leaving Konami last year under strange circumstances, and the company making a number of decisions that upset its fans, it’s no surprise that what it is now doing with the Metal Gear Solid and its main franchise's IP has drawn the ire of enthusiasts.
For those unaware, a Metal Gear Solid 3-themed pachinko machine was released by Konami in Japan in 2016.
Konami and Takasago (a Japanese Pachinko brand) also released a Silent Hill 2 Pachinko machine and planned to release a Suikoden Pachinko and an "Erotic" Castlevania Pachinko.
