Hell's Kitchen: The Game is a cooking simulation video game based on the reality competition show of the same name. It was developed by Ludia and published by Ubisoft.[1]

The game was also scheduled to be released for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, and Xbox 360, but have been cancelled.[2][3][4][5]

Summary

It features the host of the show, Gordon Ramsay as the AI and places you as a chef under his guidance, while serving customers at the restaurant.

Why It Sucks

  1. Gordon Ramsay is the only person who's appearance is detailed in the game. Period.
  2. The majority of customers look very identical.
  3. It is literally just a cooking lesson which can get very boring.
  4. Ugly graphics.
  5. The animation for prepping your food is lazy, as it's just the recipes spinning while floating.
  6. Gordon Ramsay swears at you if you do something wrong, while that may be in the show itself it can be very insulting and irritating. Not to matter it feels more watered down due to the game's T rating.
  7. There is a pointless rage bar that doesn't need to be there.
  8. When delivering food to customers, for whatever reason your character moves to them by teleportation.
  9. Uses stock images for the food you are about to make which is lazy.
  10. No iconic quotes from Gordon Ramsay.
  11. Activities can become redundant quickly.
  12. New elements introduced to infrequently.
  13. Gordon Ramsay despite being voiced by himself, sounds nothing like him at times.
  14. Product Placement: The game advertises Gordon Ramsay’s recipe book when it shows the recipes for the food your about to make.

Redeeming Qualities

  1. Gordon Ramsay voices himself.
  2. The CGI model for Gordon Ramsay is very detailed.

Reception

GamesRadar+ rated the game a 2.5/5 saying "It’s simple fun, but fun that’s worthy of a decent score as a cheapo Wiiware game, not on a full-price disc. At that price, it can go **** **** and **** itself – as Gordon would say."

Gordon Ramsay: You don't make a good fucking game like that! Look at it, you used stock images instead of CGI bloody models, you didn't blend the cooking lesson in the way Cooking Mama does, the graphics are so fucking dreadful that it gave terrible publishers LJN a run of their money, this game is a total shit! If it was bundled with other games, that would be an idiot sandwitch, you are a fucking disgrace to the cooking and gaming industries, so fuck off!

It seems that Ubisoft has 2 game machines, one that works super slow but makes masterpieces, and a shovelware shit machine gun. This game was in one of the bursts.
