Granny is a mobile horror video game developed by Dennis "DVloper" Vukanovic. It was released on mobile in late 2017, with a PC port port being released nearly a year later. The goal of the game is to escape from a house through its main door by finding items to remove locks from it and doing puzzles while avoiding a character known as Granny, who is lured by the noise the player makes.

Welcome to Granny.

Granny keeps you locked in her house. Now you have to try to get out of her house, but be careful and quiet. She hears everything. If you drop something on the floor, she hears it and comes running. You can hide in wardrobes or under beds. You have 5 days.

Good luck![1]

Bad Qualities

  1. The graphics are very primitive for 2017 standards, and look like a Nintendo 64 game.
  2. Granny's model looks horrendous and her face looks more cringe-worthy and disgusting rather than terrifying, heck, at least Slendrina looks a bit creepy than her grandmother!
  3. Physics can get drunk when throwing items, comparing to the previous games.
  4. The required items you need appear in five preset orders, like the books in the earlier Slendrina games.
  5. The game's plot is short and paper-thin.
  6. The main menu is poorly made (it's on the infobox as an image).
  7. There's a lot of glitches, some of them which were since the earliest version of the game and weren't fixed yet.
  8. Fake difficulty. As it is said at number 4, the items appear in five preset orders. If you put the game on a harder difficulty, Granny just moves faster, there are more locks on the main door and there are more items to find.
  9. Like some Slendrina games, there is absolutely nothing scary about this game. There are only four different animations in which Granny kills you.
  10. Average and lackluster gameplay. You just need to find items, take cover, go to X area and repeat till you escape, while the Slendrina games require you to find 8 books (or objects in different games) while hiding from Slendrina (who spawns everywhere while you move the camera).
  11. There is a dark mode that can make you feel blind as a bat.
  12. Bland, generic and forgettable soundtrack that sounds too campy.
    • Speaking of which, the old version of the game's basement ending has music that is actually stolen from the James Wan movie Insidious, which shows how lazy Dennis was during development.
  13. You can't pick up certain items in the house, such as candles and paintings, which doesn't make any sense at all.
  14. The map keeps expanding and expanding, but the other areas that were already added are rarely changed.
  15. It costs US$4 on Steam when it's free on mobile! And even worse, the system requirements are quite high although it can run on a phone smoothly.
  16. Despite the creator, DVloper, taking the slightest form of criticism and any complaints about his games, this one, he mostly ignores this one, most likely either due to shame.

Good Qualities

  1. Despite its flaws, the game is actually pretty fun.
  2. Granny's walking animation is okay.
  3. Despite the primitive graphics, some of the textures look good, this is because this game is a sequel to the Slendrina franchise, which has much better graphics (except for the earliest Slendrina game).
  4. The game can have some unintentionally hilarious stuff, due to being rushed for thanksgiving.
  5. You can fight back against Granny by using the Crossbow, using Pepper Spray that can make her temporarily blind, or use the Shotgun, which you, of course, need to assemble before using it (but unfortunately, you have limited ammo in comparison with the Crossbow, since you can use the same tranquilizer as much as you want). You can even trick her into going into the sauna, locking it behind her back and turning it on to roast her to death.
  6. A new update improved the graphics and player speed.
  7. The PC Version’s graphics and textures are way better and look nicer than the mobile version.
