Far Cry 3: Classic Edition is a HD port of the well-received Far Cry 3, is a open world, action-adventure, first-person shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. the game was originally released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in November 2012 and later ported to PC in December of the same year. the game was intended to be released in the Far Cry 5's Season Pass/Gold Edition, to bring back the greatest games of 2012 on a next-gen machine. It was released as a standalone later on.

Bad Qualities

  1. Ubisoft rushed this port in order to include it who bought the Far Cry 5's Season Pass or Gold Edition.
  2. This version is actually based the PC port of the game, also tons of issues are found down there.
  3. Like Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection (Brotherhood and Revelations had their online features taken out, and Assassin's Creed III Remastered (AC III and Liberation is included in the remaster), all online features was removed from this version, due to the fact that the Classic Edition only comes with the single-player mode and it's DLC.
  4. Unlike the compressed audio in the PC port, the sound quality of this version is even worse.
  5. This version still suffers from framerate issues, ironically, this game was released 6 years before this port came out. This is completely unacceptable for 2018 standards, considering the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can clearly run this game at 60fps but Ubisoft chose not to do it.
  6. The game has noticeable input lag and a terrible deadzone which makes difficult to properly aim.
  7. Many bugs and glitches.
  8. Nearly every console in this port lacks anti-aliasing (except while playing on a PS4 Pro).
  9. It cost 30$ this version, with the removed features as said above, this is unacceptable, because the older versions costed 20$.
  10. You still had to pay club units to unlock extra rewards in Ubisoft Connect, unlike the original one.

Good Qualities

  1. The game still beautiful, even to this day in this port.
  2. The game features the Deluxe Bundle Pack which has all the pre-order bonuses of the game.
  3. This is a good way for people want to resort in 1080p or 4k, if they don't have a powerful PC, or play Far Cry 3 for the first time.

The HD port had mixed to average reviews by critics and a 7,7 user score on Metacritic. some people liked the remaster for bringing back their memories to play Far Cry 3 again, someone of them hated because they complain that the remaster feels rushed and has a lot of problems.
