Borderlands 2 is a first person shooter game that was released for various platforms in 2012. It was later ported to the PlayStation Vita in 2014 by Iron Galaxy Studios.
This article will focus only on the PlayStation Vita version.
Why It Used To Suck
- Horrendous framerate with the game not even able to reach 30FPS, thus causing difficulties when aiming.
- The co-op mode is only 2 players as opposed to up to 4 (as seen on the original version).
- The graphics looks like a 3DS or a late PSP game.
- Frequent freezes and crashes (although patches later came to mitigate some of the problems) .
- Some of the DLCs can't be purchased or played on the Vita version.
- It shares the same trophy list with the PS3 version, and the DLC that isn't in the Vita version has trophies, therefore tricking trophy hunters who bought the Vita version into buying the PS3 version as well.
Redeeming Qualities
- It costs $20, and it has most of the DLCs, making it the cheapest version.
- Has cross save with the PS3 version.
- the game was patched and it's now improved a lot (though it still has bugs).
