VICE's Forza Horizon 3 review
The Canadian-American print magazine VICE reviewed Forza Horizon 3 on the day of its release (September 27th, 2016). Reviewer James O'Connor goes into a brief description of the gameplay, praising its driving dynamics and visuals before going into a politically-charged rant about how the game's depiction of Australia is better than what Australians deserve. He chastises aspects of the country, such as its voting on same-sex marriage, the former prime minister Tony Abbott, and politician Pauline Hanson and her party's opposition to widespread immigration from underdeveloped countries.
Why This Review Sucks
- Racing games have nothing to do with politics; Forza Horizon 3 is about car culture.
- Most of the above complaints made by O'Connor have absolutely nothing to do with the game itself. He blatantly used his review on the game as a springboard to push his political opinions about Australia.
- His views are clearly catered toward political correctness and social justice, both of which do much more harm than good.
- His complaints were so stupid that his own readers questioned why he would write such an article.
